This position is fully remote, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions via our secure telehealth platform. You will have the flexibility to work from your preferred location while ensuring effective communication with clients and the interdisciplinary team. As a Mental Health Counselor at Peer Support Behavioral Clinic, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations for a variety of clients, including individuals, families, and groups, to formulate effective treatment plans.
• Implementing initial assessments to prioritize client needs and ensure optimal care strategies are in place.
• Documenting evaluations, therapeutic interventions, and care plans in accordance with departmental protocols and compliance standards.
• Utilizing evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to provide tailored outpatient therapy.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and community service providers to deliver holistic care and case management.
• Ensuring timely and ethical documentation of all client interactions to maintain compliance with legal and professional requirements.
• Participating in regular team meetings for case reviews and sharing best practices to enhance service delivery.

You will be serving a diverse patient population that encompasses individuals from various age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults. Our clients present with a wide range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a safe space for clients to express their concerns and work through their difficulties, ultimately contributing to their emotional resilience and overall well-being.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field is mandatory.
• Possession of a valid state license as a PsyD, LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
• A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting.
• Availability to commit to a minimum of 10 to 40 hours per week.

While the minimum requirement is two years of experience, we highly prefer candidates who have experience in telehealth settings, familiarization with specific therapeutic techniques such as EMDR, DBT, or Motivational Interviewing, and an understanding of the challenges faced by diverse populations.
