Our Newest Opportunity:

Pay Range: $24hr - $26hr DOE

The Payroll Specialist assists in the processing of payroll for our Biweekly and Monthly pay groups in Workday. This individual communicates with other members of the organization regarding compensation-related information for budgeting & planning purposes. The Payroll Specialist assists with payroll tax compliance matters, benefits reconciliation issues, Workday configuration troubleshooting, and the W-2/payroll year-end close process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the preparation of payroll in Workday Payroll for employees paid on biweekly and monthly frequencies.

  • Enters and maintains OnDemand payroll records upon Management approval.

  • Serves as main point of contact for payroll & troubleshoots payroll-related issues impacting employees (non-payments, pay discrepancies, general questions, etc.).

  • Performs data entry tasks related to payroll and benefits.

  • Follows up on withholding orders, and other non-tax correspondence received from government authorities.

  • Provides ad hoc payroll reporting and other documentation to Finance, HR, and other authorized parties.

  • Audits payroll data to ensure accuracy.

  • Communicates and works with 3rd party payroll partners as needed.

  • Additional responsibilities assigned by management.

  • Associate degree in business administration or other related business major required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience preferred.

  • Experience in PEO, HCM, or related industry is required for remote consideration.

  • Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office.

  • Experience with Workday Payroll software preferred.
