Department: HRH Anatomic Pathology
Work Schedule: PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Flex
Pay: $50.76 - $76.14 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
Summary:
Provides services in anatomic pathology under the direction of Pathologist.
Responsibilities:
  • Grosses simple, non-complicated and complex surgical pathology specimens, with possible inclusion of dermatology specimens.
  • Performs frozen sections, and provides coverage and support as needed.
  • Aids Attending Pathologist.
  • Obtains pertinent clinical information and history. Maintains Patient Confidentiality by following Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Pathology Assistant Program.
  • Pathologists' Assistant Board Certified or exam eligible with the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
