Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools as part of the clinical decision-making process to provide high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement positive behavior support plans that enhance client well-being.
  • Participate actively in the agency's accreditation and licensing processes, maintaining knowledge of best practices within the field.
  • Act as a liaison with state agencies, service systems, and community partners to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Facilitate open communication lines within the organization and external partners, promoting our mission and enhancing program effectiveness.
  • Engage in networking and advocacy activities to build relationships and secure resources that support our programs.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, such as workshops and conferences, to enhance your skills and knowledge in mental health counseling.

  • Complete any additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director that align with organizational goals.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will primarily consist of individuals seeking assistance for emotional and psychological issues, substance use recovery, and those with various developmental disabilities or brain injuries. This role requires sensitivity and adaptability to effectively address a range of challenges faced by each client, promoting autonomy and well-being in a supportive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
  • An independent LMHC license granted by the state board of Connecticut is necessary.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage clinical records and prepare comprehensive reports as required.
  • Experience collaborating effectively in an interdisciplinary team setting.
  • Strong communication skills effective in expressing ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Demonstrated capability in exercising professional judgment and decision-making.
  • Competence in utilizing various therapeutic methodologies, driven by a commitment to evidence-based practices.
Preferred Experience
