Accounts Payable Clerk (Temporary Remote Opportunity)


Position Details

  • Position Type: Full-Time Temporary Assignment
  • Assignment Length: Approximately 3-4 months
  • Openings: 2 Positions Available
  • Location: Fully Remote
  • Pay Rate: $23.00 - $27.00/hour
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week - Either: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch) or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Background Check: Candidates must successfully pass a background check following an offer of employment


NEXTAFF is assisting our client with the search for two Accounts Payable Clerks to join their accounting team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Accounts Payable professionals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, managing high-volume transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records.


Non-Negotiable Requirements

To be considered, candidates must have:

  • Prior Accounts Payable experience
  • Experience working within NetSuite
  • Strong data entry and invoice processing experience
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment


Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently for payment.
  • Track purchase orders and validate data between purchase orders and invoices.
  • Research and respond to inquiries related to invoices, expenses, and payment requests.
  • Assist with discrepancy resolution and reconciliation activities.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate vendor records.
  • Support vendor payment plans and credit limit management.
  • Perform high-volume data entry and spreadsheet management.
  • Assist with monthly close activities and AP accrual journal entries.
  • Organize and route accounts payable reports for review and approval.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
  • Support additional accounting and administrative projects as needed.


Qualifications

Required

  • 2-3 years of Accounts Payable or accounting-related experience.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems, specifically NetSuite.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
