This role offers the unique opportunity to provide essential mental health services in a remote setting while actively contributing to the well-being of individuals in our community. With a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 86,000 to USD 103,000, this position not only rewards your professional expertise but also your commitment to fostering positive mental health.

About the Organization

At Bay View Counseling Services, we are passionate about empowering individuals to lead healthier, more fulfilled lives. Located in Kirkland, Washington, we specialize in a broad spectrum of mental health services, including therapy for emotional health, substance use recovery programs, support for individuals with developmental disabilities, and accommodations for those overcoming acquired brain injuries. Our approach is grounded in values of respect, integrity, and compassion, ensuring that every person we serve is treated with dignity and provided with personalized programming to enhance their independence and overall well-being.

With a commitment to remote operational support, you will have the tools and systems you need at your disposal, ensuring you can deliver high-quality care from the comfort of your own space. Our outpatient office model emphasizes straightforward access to services while allowing our staff to engage deeply with patients without the constraints of a traditional office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to develop individualized and effective treatment plans that address their mental health needs.
  • Facilitate the development of crisis intervention strategies, behavioral guidelines, and medication management plans in collaboration with the clinical team.
  • Complete all documentation accurately and within regulatory timelines to meet compliance standards.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools effectively to gauge client progress and implement necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and execute positive behavior support plans that facilitate recovery and wellness.
  • Serve as an effective liaison between clients, community partners, and state agencies, ensuring that every patient has access to the resources they need.
  • Engage actively in ongoing professional development through attendance at workshops, conferences, and meetings within your field.
  • Promote and embody the agency's mission, values, and philosophy in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Clinic Director.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counselors work with a diverse patient population, including adults and adolescents navigating challenges related to mental health, substance abuse, and trauma recovery. We are dedicated to meeting each client's unique needs and fostering an environment conducive to healing and growth. Your role will involve tailoring therapeutic strategies to address the individual circumstances of each client and collaborating closely with them to achieve their personal goals.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
  • Possession of an independent LMHC license issued by the state board.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain clinical records accurately and prepare necessary reports.
  • Proficiency in forming cooperative relationships within an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas and facilitate discussions.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make independent decisions based on clinical knowledge and ethical standards.
Preferred Experience

We highly value candidates with prior experience in outpatient counseling, as well as familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities. Experience working with communities facing various mental health challenges, particularly in remote settings, is beneficial and will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation package includes an annual salary between USD 86,000 and USD 103,000, complemented by numerous benefits designed to support your professional journey and personal well-being:

  • Productivity bonuses based on client engagement and success.
  • Continued professional development opportunities, including regular supervision and training sessions.
  • A supportive team environment that fosters meaningful connections.
  • Flexible scheduling options to allow for personal commitments and hobbies.
  • Paid time off (PTO) and sick leave, plus Health, Dental, and Vision insurance.
  • Dependent care accounts to assist with family obligations.
  • A sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team!
Career Growth Opportunities

At Bay View Counseling Services, we are invested in your future. As part of our team, you will have access to ongoing training, supervision, and mentorship opportunities aimed at encouraging your professional growth within the organization.
