Job description

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a senior-level Development Security and Operations (DevSecOps) Engineer (Remote) to supportArcticom, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation This role is 100% remote.
The DevSecOps Engineer will supervise and lead a team of DevSecOps Subject Matter Experts and will interface and work closely with the government lead. In addition, will be required to know configurations, version numbers, roles, and functions across multiple environments. The new hire will deliver successful configurations, software development, fielding, deployment, operations support, and sustainment of a military system. The individual will lead and provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to support an Enterprise solution through engineering; architecture and technical analysis; and compliance with regulations and policies. Supported architecture solution uses an Oracle technology platform, including Oracle Database, Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications/Enterprise Business suite, Oracle middleware. Infrastructure architecture analysis required to enhance the capabilities, scale the Oracle E-Business Suites (EBS) application and support business operations.
The DevSecOps SME must be highly skilled with real-world experience (preferably in a federal organization) in the following:
โ€ข Supporting establishment of the technical solution should have a foundation of best practices and technical integration. This includes adding new installations to the enterprise system and pushing additional capabilities to currently fielded installations through multiple software releases.
โ€ข Seasoned in AGILE methodology and take an active role in maturing system needs to modernize capabilities, increase efficiency, and productivity for the military community.
โ€ข Demonstrate an understanding of AGILE development in delivering useful software leveraging self-organizing; cross-functional teams focusing on adaptive planning; early delivery; continuous improvement; and flexibility to respond to customer and stakeholder changes.
โ€ข Use AGILE software development methodologies and enabling tools; Development Security and Operations (DevSecOps) practices; and provide recommendations for any additional tool sets that may be required to support the project.
โ€ข Delivering successful configurations, software development, fielding, deployment, operations support, and sustainment of an enterprise-wide military system.
โ€ข Leading and providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in supporting Enterprise solutions through engineering; architecture and technical analysis; and compliance with regulations and policies.
โ€ข Supporting architecture solutions uses an Oracle technology platform, including Oracle Database, Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications/Enterprise Business suite, Oracle middleware. Required (Minimum) Qualifications
  • 10+ years overall experience delivering successful configurations, configuration management, software development, fielding, deployment, operations support, and sustainment of a military system.
  • 10+ years of experience with Enterprise solutions through engineering; architecture and technical analysis; and compliance with regulations and policies. Supported architecture solution uses an Oracle technology platform, including Oracle Database, Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications/Enterprise Business suite, Oracle middleware. Infrastructure architecture analysis required to enhance the capabilities, scale the Oracle E-Business Suites (EBS) application and support business operations.
  • 10+ years of industry experience in DevSecOps architecture related to Continuous Integration/Delivery solutions and platform automation.
  • 10+ years of experience in software delivery leadership in AGILE methodology and DevSecOps practices.
  • 10+ years of experience leading DevSecOps teams.
  • 8+ years of experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available environment for a SaaS vendor or other cloud service provider.
  • 5+ years of experience with government deliverables.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Hold or can acquire government SECRET clearance.
  • Must have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
  • Experience with On-Prem and/or cloud infrastructure provisioning, automation, and support.
  • Experience with navigating core processes, team responsibilities, and multiple environments.
  • Experience with FlexDeploy tasks and JIRA ticketing systems.
  • Experience working with open-source software and tooling.
  • Release automation, (e.g., Jenkins), system administration, system configuration, and system debugging experience.
  • Experience with Logging and Monitoring tools.
  • Experience with scripting in Python, Ruby, JSON, Go or Bash.
  • Experience with large-scale, distributed COTS solutions deployed on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Preferred
  • Prior military service.
  • Experience working with the federal government.
