We believe in transparency and value constructive, honest debate-we're focused on getting to the best ideas, faster. We build high-performing teams that can make an impact quickly and with high quality. If you're driven by purpose, thrive on solving complex challenges, and want to be part of the team that's helping to secure the AI age, we invite you to bring your talents to Zscaler and help shape the future of cybersecurity.
We are looking for a Senior Manager, AMS Benefits Operations to join our team. This is a Hybrid (Santa Clara, CA or Bellevue, WA) or Remote US role, reporting to the Director, People Services & Global Process Excellence in the People & Culture organization. This role brings dedicated ownership to Zscaler's Americas benefits and leave functions to build operational rigor and scalable systems. You will own operational execution, partner cross-functionally across Total Rewards and HRIS, and leverage intelligent AI tooling to eliminate manual overhead and optimize support.
What you'll do (Role Expectations)
  • Own end-to-end operational delivery of AMS benefits programs including carrier and TPA management, employee experience, compliance, and data integrity across HRIS platforms while leveraging AI tools to drive efficiency
  • Serve as the primary operational interface to the Benefits COE, Payroll, HRIS, Legal, and People Services to drive cross-functional alignment and resolve gaps
  • Lead the full AMS LOA lifecycle in partnership with LOA vendors from intake through return-to-work to ensure compliance and an exceptional employee experience
  • Manage, develop, and retain a team of benefits and leave specialists while setting clear expectations, building development plans, and modeling AI-native ways of working
  • Own operational vendor relationships with AMS carriers, brokers, and TPAs by holding partners accountable to SLAs and driving process automation

Who You Are (Success Profile)
  • You thrive in ambiguity. You navigate dynamic environments with confidence, viewing ambiguity as an opportunity to build scalable systems and mature operational processes.
  • You act like an owner. You take full accountability for operational execution, moving seamlessly between strategic alignment and hands-on execution.
  • You think at scale. You design durable systems, workflows, and cross-functional partnerships that support long-term organizational growth.
  • You are driven by innovation. You actively seek out and integrate AI tools to streamline workflows, eliminate manual overhead, and optimize team outcomes.
  • You are a high-trust collaborator. You build strong cross-functional partnerships and foster a culture of candor, respect, and mutual development.

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
  • Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
  • 7+ years of benefits and LOA experience, with at least 3 years in a direct people management role
  • Deep knowledge of US health and welfare benefits, LOA administration, and applicable regulatory frameworks
  • Proven track record of operational improvement and building scalable benefits operations in a maturing function
  • Strong systems fluency with experience managing TPA and carrier relationships, SLA monitoring, and data integrity accountability

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience in a high-growth, globally distributed technology company
