Job Description Title: Ignition Platform Integration Engineer Location: Remote Duration: Full Time Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Manufacturing Engineer specializing in the implementation and integration of Ignition by Inductive Automation.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving digital transformation initiatives within our manufacturing operations, leveraging cutting‐edge MES technologies to optimize processes, enhance data visibility, and improve overall operational efficiency. Your Role Develop responsive web‐based solutions for manufacturing applications using the Ignition software platform. Applications will integrate with a variety of data sources, such as SQLDB, OPC, Canary, SAP, Data Warehouse, SharePoint, etc.

Ensure that solutions are secure, reliable, and scalable, and meet regulatory and compliance requirements. Lead the design, deployment, and integration of Ignition solution across large manufacturing site. Collaborate with cross‐functional teams (IT, operations, engineering, quality) to define project requirements and deliver tailored digital solutions.

Develop and maintain HMI, SCADA, and MES applications using Ignition, ensuring seamless connectivity with plant floor equipment and enterprise systems. Configure and optimize data collection, visualization, and reporting tools to support real‐time decision‐making and continuous improvement. Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and user training for Ignition‐based applications.

Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data integrity, and regulatory standards throughout all phases of system implementation. Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and ongoing maintenance to ensure optimal system performance. Document system architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Your Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent experience. 5‐7 years of professional experience in digital manufacturing, MES system implementation, and OT systems and architecture. Proven expertise in deploying and integrating Ignition MES platform within manufacturing environments.

Strong understanding of industrial protocols (OPC, MQTT, Modbus, etc.) and experience interfacing with PLCs, sensors, and automation hardware. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, SQL) for customization and automation within Ignition. Fluency in interfacing with external data sources, via SQL, REST API, BAPI, etc.

Ability to demonstrate a portfolio of work product showcasing robust, clean, intuitive, user‐friendly design. Experience with database management (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) and data visualization tools. Excellent problem‐solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non‐technical stakeholders. Certification in Ignition or Inductive Automation technologies. Experience with Industry 4.0 initiatives, IIoT, and cloud integration.

Background in regulated industries (aerospace & defense, automotive, etc.). Experience with industrial historians (e.g., Canary) and OPC data (e.g., Kepware). Understanding and experience working with MES, SCADA and HMI.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $95,000 - $140,000/year. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
