Territory Account Manager – Oils & Lubricants

Salary Range: $75,000 to $105,000 + Commissions and Discretionary Bonus Opportunities

Sole Hire is hiring on behalf of its client in the Chemical Manufacturing/Distribution space for a Territory Account Manager specializing in Oils & Lubricants. This role offers the opportunity to drive sales and business growth within the Mid-Atlantic region. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven professional with experience in longer sales cycles and working with mid-size to larger corporations, rather than retail environments.

Job Summary

As a Territory Account Manager, you will focus on building and maintaining strong client relationships while driving revenue growth for your assigned territory. You will actively pursue new business opportunities, strategically promote products and services, and work collaboratively with internal teams to meet and exceed sales targets. This position requires a proactive approach to understanding client needs and a deep knowledge of the client’s markets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow revenue and expand market presence.
  • Identify and prioritize target accounts and industries for penetration.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with existing clients, becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Address client needs and concerns proactively while promoting additional products and services.

New Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and networking.
  • Utilize market research and industry expertise to target and capture new accounts.

Product Promotion and Education

  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value and applications of oils and lubricants.
  • Ensure clients fully understand product features and benefits to address their operational needs.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting

  • Track and manage sales activities, pipeline development, and performance metrics using CRM tools.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and market insights to management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and technical support, to ensure seamless client service.
  • Share market trends and client feedback to influence product development and marketing strategies.

Negotiation and Contract Management

  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Prepare and review proposals, contracts, and other sales-related documents.

Industry Knowledge and Compliance

  • Stay current on industry regulations, safety standards, and market trends in chemical distribution.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant laws and company policies.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Chemistry, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven success in sales, ideally within the chemical manufacturing or distribution industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
