The Role

Theย Director of Upstream Servicesย is accountable for building, operating, and scaling a profitable upstream services business across oil-producing basins - anchored in the Permian. This is aย โ€œservices GMโ€ย role with fullย regional P&L ownership, combiningย commercial leadershipย (growth, customer expansion, service packaging, pricing inputs, margin) withย technical and operational leadershipย (safe execution, standardized service delivery, reliability, and digital enablement through SYTELINK 360).

This leader will expand Cimarronโ€™s service offerings to meet high-demand operator needs, improve customer outcomes (uptime, responsiveness, emissions-risk reduction), and develop a high-performing field organization across the region.

    • Expansion within key operator accounts

  • Identify and launchย underserved, in-demand service offeringsย that differentiate Cimarron in oil-producing basins (proactive maintenance programs, remote/field hybrid support, rapid-response troubleshooting coverage models, compliance-support packaging).
  • Lead QBRs and executive customer engagements; own escalations and recovery plans with a โ€œretain and expandโ€ mindset.

Operating model & execution (in support of commercial outcomes)

  • Ensure consistent service delivery across basins (scheduling/dispatch, escalation models, quality standards, documentation), with a focus on customer experience and margin.
  • Build service capability across basins: training plans, competency matrices, escalation tiers, and technical coaching for supervisors and senior technicians.
  • Develop staffing and partner strategies for coverage density in West TX / SE NM (field leadership structure, hiring plan, contractor strategy, training).

Digital-enabled services

  • Champion SYTELINK 360 adoption as a driver of commercial value: proactive service triggers, better reporting, and service program differentiation.
  • Translate monitoring insights into service products (subscriptions, managed services, performance-based service bundles) in coordination with internal stakeholders.

What Weโ€™re Looking For

Must-haves:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in field service leadership, preferably in energy, industrial, or environmental sectors
  • Strong technical background in mechanical/electrical systems, commissioning, and maintenance
  • Proven ability to lead distributed teams and manage customer relationships
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel 30โ€“50% and work in outdoor/industrial environments

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience building data-enabled service offerings (remote monitoring, diagnostics, predictive/preventative programs).
  • Familiarity with emissions-focused service models and compliance-driven customer needs.
  • Oversight and service readiness for dehydration โ€“ and BTEX-related systems.
