Job description

Donaldson is committed to solving the world's most complex filtration challenges. Together, we make cool things. As an established technology and innovation leader, we are continuously evolving to meet the filtration needs of our changing world. Join a culture of collaboration and innovation that matters and a chance to learn, effect change, and make meaningful contributions at work and in communities.

Be one of the architects shaping Donaldson's enterprise technology future. We're building a newly re-established Enterprise Architecture team, and this is your opportunity to influence how ERP platforms, enterprise applications, integrations, and cloud technologies evolve across a global manufacturing company.

This isn't an architecture role where you'll create standards from the sidelines. You'll work closely with business and technology teams on real initiatives, shaping practical solutions that enable the business while reducing complexity and long-term technical risk.

Why you'll love this role

  • Help shape Donaldson's ERP and enterprise application strategy from the ground up
  • Influence how Oracle, cloud technologies, and enterprise platforms evolve across the organization
  • Define architecture patterns and standards that are applied to real projects
  • Work across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, sales, service, and other global functions
  • Join a newly formed, highly visible Enterprise Architecture team with strong growth potential
  • Hybrid role based in Bloomington, MN: three days in the office and two days remote
  • Annual incentive plan plus a comprehensive benefits package including health benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and paid parental leave
  • Annual Salary Range: $103,000 - $134,300

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including applicable work experience, training, education, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the architecture direction and roadmap for ERP and related enterprise applications
  • Establish reusable architecture patterns and guide decisions around configuration, customization, integration, and process change
  • Partner with business leaders and Business Relationship Managers to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions
  • Lead architecture across initiatives involving manufacturing, supply chain, finance, sales, service, and master data
  • Design and guide integrations between ERP, enterprise applications, data platforms, and cloud services
  • Evaluate technology platforms and vendors based on business value, architecture fit, complexity, risk, and cost
  • Simplify the application landscape by reducing duplication, modernizing legacy solutions, and promoting enterprise-wide reuse

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience in Enterprise Architecture, ERP Solution Architecture, Application Architecture, or a related technology leadership role
  • 3+ years of experience with Oracle ERP platforms, combined with broader ERP experience
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end processes such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, and plan-to-produce
  • Strong knowledge of integration architecture including APIs, event-driven patterns, middleware, and data synchronization
  • Experience developing architecture standards, reusable patterns, and reference architectures
  • Ability to lead complex discussions across business and IT and translate technical trade-offs into business terms
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with additional ERP ecosystems such as SAP or comparable enterprise platforms
  • Experience within manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, or other complex global environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture practices such as TOGAF and capability mapping
  • Experience with cloud, integration, data, and analytics platforms
  • Experience driving technology or process standardization across regions or business units
  • Relevant enterprise architecture, Oracle, ERP, or cloud certifications
