Description
As the Nonprofit Fundraising Strategiston the Innovation & Development team, you will serve as the sector expert and strategic voice of the nonprofit fundraiser alongside our product and engineering teams. SimioAccelerate is an agentic AI fundraising solution built to help small and mid-sized nonprofits raise more funds with less effort, and this role exists to make sure it solves real problems for real fundraisers.
You will bring deep, firsthand knowledge of nonprofit fundraising to shape how the product is built, prioritized, and positioned, acting as a trusted bridge between the mission-driven world you know and the technology team building for it. This is a strategy and advisory role, not a technical one: your value is your expertise, your network, and your ability to translate the day-to-day realities of nonprofit fundraising into insights that drive better product decisions.
This is a full-time, salaried, US-based remote position.
This position is open to candidates in the US who are eligible to work without current or future sponsorship.
The salary range for this role is $130,000-150,000, depending on skills and expertise.

Your Impact:
  • Serve as the primary nonprofit sector voice in product strategy sessions, ensuring the SimioAccelerate roadmap reflects how fundraisers actually think, work, and make decisions

  • Translate nonprofit fundraising workflows, campaign cycles, donor stewardship practices, and organizational constraints into clear, actionable guidance for product and engineering teams

  • Partner with product and engineering leadership to evaluate features and prioritization decisions through the lens of real-world nonprofit fundraising impact

  • Lead and facilitate user research with nonprofit fundraisers, development directors, and executive directors at small to mid-sized organizations to surface insights that sharpen product direction

  • Advise on how AI-assisted fundraising features should behave, feel, and communicate trust to nonprofit staff who may be new to AI tools, drawing on your own experience as a practitioner

  • Help define what success looks like for nonprofit users by identifying the fundraising outcomes that matter most - donor retention, campaign ROI, time savings, grant readiness, and ensuring the team is building toward them

  • Support go-to-market efforts by lending credibility and sector expertise to sales conversations, pilots, case studies, and conference presentations targeting the nonprofit community

  • Help build and maintain relationships with nonprofit partners, pilot organizations, and sector networks to create a continuous feedback loop that keeps the product grounded in practice

Your Profile:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising - either at a small to mid-sized organization or at an agency serving small to mid-sized nonprofits - with direct responsibility for development strategy, donor cultivation campaigns

  • Deep expertise across the nonprofit fundraising toolkit: annual giving, mid-level giving, major and planned gifts, direct mail and digital campaigns, donor database management (e.g., Salesforce NPSP, Bloomerang, Raiser's Edge), and constituent stewardship

  • Experience designing donor journeys

  • Comfortable engaging with product and engineering teams; you don't need to write code, but you can hold a substantive conversation about what technology can and cannot do, and you know how to advocate for the user

  • Strategic thinker who can synthesize practitioner experience, user feedback, and sector trends into clear recommendations that help a product team make better decisions

  • Innovative and forward-thinking, and you use AI regularly to do real work - not just experimenting, but relying on AI tools to draft research, analyze, or solve problems in your day-to-day. You're energized by where the technology is heading plus, and earger to push it further

  • Network within the small to mid-sized nonprofit community; you know how development directors think, what they worry about, and who they trust

  • Genuinely data-driven; you interpret fundraising dashboards and campaign metrics, have informed opinions about which outcomes matter most, and understand how predictive modeling, donor scoring, and cooperative (data co-op) databases sharpen targeting and audience selection

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; equally at home presenting to a board of directors or walking an engineering team through how a fundraising appeal actually works

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; CFRE or similar fundraising credential a plus
