Location: Tallahassee, FL 32399 - Remote for now
The Department has allowed remote work but is moving toward bringing remote workers back in the office.
Contract role
Skills
  1. A minimum of 7 years of documented experience working as InterSystems IRIS/Caché Object Script Developer and a thorough understanding of the Cache database system.
  2. A minimum of 7 years of documented experience in designing and implementing IRIS/Cache databases, including data modeling and Structured Query Language (SQL).
  3. A minimum of 7 years of documented experience using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and Javascript.
  4. A minimum of 5 years of documented experience using SQL queries, Javascript Object Notation (JSON), jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, and eXtensible Markup Language (XML).
  5. Expert in object-oriented programming.
  6. Experience in building Web services and consuming web services in cache.
  7. Working knowledge of Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates, Java key stores, and encryption.
  8. Working knowledge of message/file transfer protocols: Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), Pretty Good Privacy (PGP), (Public key/Private key).
  9. Working knowledge of data governance frameworks and compliance regulations, like the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA), relevant to data management and privacy.

Job responsibilities:
  1. Perform the following for applications based on Intersystems Cache, Cache Server Pages (CSP), HTML, Javascript, Jquery, Json, Ajax, and ASP.Net.
  2. Create system designs and provide documentation for system feature enhancements and additions and bug fixes, daily, as specified in the work tickets assigned by the Department.
  3. Modify and create application code and database code, ready for User Acceptance Testing, daily, as specified in the work tickets assigned by the Department.
  4. Troubleshoot, determine, and document resolutions to system issues identified by the HMS Support group and the Applications Management team, daily, as specified in the work tickets assigned by the Department.
  5. Provide work estimates, communication and updates for Release Planning, Sprint Planning and Daily Scrum, daily, as specified in the work tickets assigned by the Department.
  6. Document application modifications and additions in a documentation repository, daily, as specified in the work tickets assigned by the Department.
