Niyam is seeking an experienced Technical Program Lead to manage and support the implementation of IBM Maximo, an enterprise asset management (EAM) solution for a federal client. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise on IBM Maximo, strong Agile project management skills, and a proven record of successful EAM system implementations in complex enterprise environments.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead all the technical management aspects of end-to-end IBM Maximo implementation projects.
  • Serve as the technical SME for IBM Maximo, including system architecture, configuration, integration, customization, data migration, deployment and O&M.
  • Provide technical guidance on Maximo Core to support the full lifecycle management process including asset management, work management, inventory and procurement, contracts, resources, planning and scheduling, analytics and reporting, integration, and safety.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure compliance with IT security, data governance, and industry best practices for Maximo implementations working collaboratively with the client and internal teams.
  • Oversee and support data migration, system integration, deployments, and Maximo platform development.
  • Identify technical project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage system performance turning and troubleshooting.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • US Citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience with IBM Maximo, including at least 3 full-cycle implementations.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager; experience working on Agile Teams is a plus.
  • IBM Maximo Certifications: Certified Deployment Professional or IBM Certified Administrator.
  • Hands-on experience developing and implementing IBM Maximo workflows and automation to support asset management, work management, and other key business processes.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), cross-organizational leadership (client, partners, and vendors), and key stakeholder engagement and management.
  • Knowledge of APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), or middleware platforms.
  • Strong understanding of IBM Maximo architecture, Business Intelligence Reporting Tools (BIRT), automation scripts, and Maximo Integration Frameworks (MIF).
  • Ability to prepare and present project-related information to leadership teams.


Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or SAFe Agile certification.
  • Experience with public sector procurement processes, asset life cycle management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Understanding of government IT standards, data privacy, and security protocols (i.e., FedRAMP)
  • Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence, or other tools.
