Are you a data-driven marketer who loves turning strategy into results? Do you enjoy optimizing campaigns, uncovering insights, and using digital advertising to drive meaningful impact?


Avalon Consulting is a full-service direct marketing fundraising agency, and we're looking for a Paid Media Manager to execute and optimize digital advertising campaigns for nonprofit organizations advancing environmental conservation, social justice, cultural arts, and other progressive causes.


In this role, you'll bring campaigns to life across paid search, paid social, and programmatic channels while collaborating with Avalon's digital, creative, analytics, and client service teams. Your work will directly support organizations raising the funds needed to power their missions.


We're proud to be a fully remote company, welcoming staff to work from their home offices, with occasional travel for client meetings, trainings, or company gatherings.


What You'll Do with Us


Campaign Execution

  • Launch and manage campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, paid social, CTV, and programmatic platforms
  • Build keywords, audiences, ads, budgets, and bidding strategies aligned with media plans
  • Monitor campaign pacing and ensure accuracy through regular QA

Optimization & Performance

  • Track campaign performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Implement optimizations related to bids, budgets, audiences, placements, and creative
  • Support A/B testing across ads, landing pages, and targeting strategies

Reporting & Insights

  • Prepare performance reports and dashboards using key metrics such as CPA and ROAS
  • Pull insights from ad platforms, Google Analytics, and internal tools
  • Support senior team members in developing client-facing performance summaries

Technical & Budget Management

  • Manage UTM tracking, conversion events, and pixel implementation
  • Conduct routine audits of tracking and campaign setup
  • Monitor spend and prepare monthly budget and billing reconciliation

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Partner with internal teams across Creative, Analytics, Finance, and Client Service
  • Participate in internal knowledge-sharing and campaign testing initiatives
  • Stay current on platform updates and digital advertising trends 

Requirements

What we need from you

  • 3+ years managing digital advertising campaigns, including paid search
  • Hands-on experience with platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Ads, or DSPs
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using Google Analytics, Excel, and ad platform reporting
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Tag Manager, Google Ads Editor, Search Ads 360, and UTM tracking
  • Experience integrating campaigns with CRM or donation platforms such as Salesforce, Engaging Networks, EveryAction, Classy, or Blackbaud
  • Comfort working in collaborative tools such as Teams, Monday.com, and Zoom
  • Google Ads or Meta certifications
  • Experience supporting Google Grant campaigns
