The role involves resolving complex customer issues related to Ubuntu and other open source software, maintaining relationships with various teams, and participating in upstream communities. Responsibilities: Resolve complex customer problems related to Ubuntu, Kernel, Ceph, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and other open source software. Maintain close relationships with Canonical's Field, Support, and Product Engineering teams.

Participate in upstream communities. Develop bug fixes, backport patches, and collaborate with upstream projects for inclusion. Review code produced by other engineers.

Exercise good judgment in technical methods and techniques. Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Participate in team discussions to improve processes, tools, and documentation.

Maintain clear, technical, and concise communication. Work remotely with up to 10% international travel for meetings, events, and conferences. Qualifications: Required: Exceptional academic record.

Background in Computer Science, STEM, or similar fields. Experience with Linux and open source software. Experience with at least one of Python, Go, C, or C++ on Linux.
