• Conduct detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's history and discern effective therapeutic approaches tailored to their needs.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery and enhancing resilience among patients.
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring alignment with best practices.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and encourage holistic healing.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to create a seamless continuum of care tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.
• Provide real-time crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calm and collected presence in high-stress situations.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and relevant community resources to enhance their support network.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing case consultations, interdisciplinary team meetings, and training opportunities focused on trauma-informed care and advancements in the field.
• Stay informed about the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to continuously refine therapeutic approaches.

In this role, you will work closely with individuals recovering from various forms of trauma, including those who have experienced profound life-altering events and those dealing with the residual effects of chronic stress. Your therapeutic input will be instrumental in guiding them toward healing and promoting resilience, allowing them to reclaim their lives.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT within the state of Illinois.
• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, the principles of trauma-informed treatment, and resilience-building strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Skills in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth platforms.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, specifically focusing on trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• Proven ability to manage high-stress situations effectively.
• Collaborative experience within a multidisciplinary team setting.
