Job description

BAM is seeking an innovative, driven self-starter for a Network Engineer position. This technical role requires advanced engineering experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting a highly available global network infrastructure. The hire will work on a wide array of networking technologies and enable BAM to grow and scale into the future. The candidate will embody a mindset of continuous learning and process improvement. A basic understanding of financial markets and trade lifecycles is a plus.
As a Network Engineer at BAM, you will:
  • Design, implement, and maintain a multi-vendor global trading network
  • Connect BAM's offices, datacenters, market data providers, trade brokers and public cloud providers.
  • Work with, and help extend, an intent driven network automation framework
  • Have access to the latest AI models and tools
  • Manage the firewall infrastructure and proactively work to improve network security.
  • Work closely with technology and investment teams to understand their requirements and provide solutions that align with business needs
  • Perform network capacity planning to ensure network scales to meet the demands of the business
  • Define and implement standards and best practices
  • Act as an escalation point for troubleshooting network and security issues
  • Participate in a 24/7 on call rotation and out of hours network maintenance

  • The ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
