A Remote Neonatal Pharmacist is a licensed pharmacist who specializes in providing pharmaceutical care for newborns, particularly those in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), while working from a remote location. They review and verify medication orders, provide drug information to healthcare teams, and ensure the safe and effective use of medications for neonates. Remote Neonatal Pharmacists collaborate with medical staff via secure digital platforms and telepharmacy systems, allowing them to support patient care without being physically present in the hospital. Their expertise is critical in managing complex medication regimens and preventing medication errors in this vulnerable population.
