JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Greater Allegheny has an immediate opening for a Head Women's Basketball Coach. Penn State Greater Allegheny is a member of the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). This is a part-time 9-month appointment reporting to the Director of Athletics.

Job Duties
  • The Women's Basketball Coach is responsible for the organization and administration of all phases of a comprehensive Basketball program.
  • They should have the ability to effectively motivate student-athletes, as well as a demonstrated commitment to high academic standards, healthy lifestyles, demonstrated leadership skills, ability to manage team dynamics, and a commitment to NCAA regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Successful background in coaching and playing experience preferred.
  • Evidence of the ability to build a winning program consistent with the values of NCAA Division III and the mission of Penn State Greater Allegheny is required.

  • Additionally, an understanding of, and commitment to, NCAA, PSUAC, and USCAA Rules and Regulations is required.

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
