Assistant Cross Country Coach

Chatham University invites applications for the position of Assistant Cross Country Coach. This role supports all aspects of the University's NCAA Division III Cross Country program, which competes in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). The Assistant Coach will play an integral role in fostering a positive and competitive student-athlete experience through recruitment, athletic development, leadership cultivation, and program operations. This position requires a commitment to the academic, athletic, and personal success of student-athletes while upholding the values and standards of Chatham University, the NCAA, and the PAC.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, organizing, implementing and following up on recruitment.

  • Assist in coordinating athletic planning, program development and assessment of student-athletes' performance, retention, personal development and leadership development.

  • Assist in overseeing program budget and resource management.

  • Assist in supporting campus endeavors and coordinate athletic events to enhance campus community and school pride.

  • Assist in ensuring adherence to University, NCAA and PAC regulations and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Excellent leadership skills and outstanding character traits.

  • Availability on nights/weekends.

  • Experience competing in cross country at the collegiate level

Salary Range:

$12,000 annually/ 20-hour work week.
