Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify client needs and develop customized treatment plans that address individual goals and challenges.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, groups, and families, utilizing a variety of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to cater to specific client needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams that include psychiatrists, medical case managers, and other professionals, ensuring comprehensive care and coordinated support for clients.
  • Respond effectively to crisis situations, offering immediate support to clients experiencing acute distress, and employing de-escalation techniques based on your specialized training.
  • Engage in community outreach to raise awareness about mental health issues, participate in workshops, and help combat stigma associated with seeking mental health support.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a mental health counselor, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. Many clients may face challenges such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-affected behaviors, and relational issues. Your expertise will be essential in providing effective and culturally-sensitive care to this diverse population.

Qualifications
  • Must hold an active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
