What you'll do
Territory Management: Prepare and execute territory plans, provide weekly reports on orders and activities, and maintain regular customer visits as per the call plan to build strong relationships.
Sales & Account Development: Manage quotations, tenders, and orders while developing key account relationships to meet or exceed sales targets. Proactively prospect new business opportunities within the territory.
Distributor & Customer Support: Oversee distributor activities and direct sales efforts, ensuring customers receive excellent service and solutions tailored to their needs. Monitor competitors and address product or process quality issues effectively.
Data & Communication: Maintain accurate records using Salesforce, promote a customer-focused attitude, and communicate effectively with the Regional Sales Director. Handle special projects as required.
Travel Requirements: Travel approximately 75% of the time, typically Monday through Friday, with at least three weeks per month on the road, supported by a company vehicle.

What you'll bring

Must-haves:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of technical and direct sales experience, preferably in heavy industry or related sectors.
Strong knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with IBM System AS/400 is highly desired.
Proven ability to manage distributor relationships and direct sales within a defined territory.

Nice-to-haves:
Familiarity with Weir product lines and industry-specific knowledge.
Experience working in power plants, mining, or aggregate industries.
Previous success in managing sales incentive programs and meeting quarterly targets.
Internal candidates from St. Louis or surrounding areas with relevant industry experience.
