This full-time, remote position is perfect for a professional dedicated to supporting individuals dealing with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. In this vital role, you will contribute to transformative care pathways that promote recovery and holistic well-being for our clients.

About the Organization

At Innovative Medical Solutions Inc., we take pride in our comprehensive outpatient care practice, located in Atlanta, Georgia. We are committed to delivering integrated mental health services, tailored toward individuals facing the dual challenges of mental health disorders and substance use disorders. Our multidisciplinary approach merges expertise from various fields, fostering an environment conducive to healing and support for our clients.

Work Environment

The position offers the flexibility of a remote setting, enabling you to provide essential services from the comfort of your home while remaining accessible to clients. You will be an integral part of a collaborative team, comprised of psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, working together to ensure every client receives holistic treatment tailored to their unique needs. Your primary working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with occasional evening hours required, depending on patient appointments. Expect a vibrant work culture focused on teamwork, continuous learning, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use issues, meticulously identifying any co-occurring disorders that may exist.
  • Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans, integrating evidence-based interventions and ensuring that both mental health and substance use concerns are addressed effectively.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, empowering clients to cultivate coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques essential for their recovery.
  • Engage actively with our multidisciplinary team, ensuring coordinated care delivery across various specialties, including psychiatry and addiction treatment.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to conduct regular substance use monitoring, providing encouragement and support as clients navigate their recovery journeys.
  • Educate clients and their families about the complex relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of treatment compliance to foster a successful recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment interventions, and referrals in line with ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate in team case conferences, staff meetings, and professional development trainings to enhance your knowledge and skills in co-occurring disorder treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work closely with diverse clients who are facing the intertwined challenges of mental health and substance use disorders. Individuals receiving treatment in our community health clinic often struggle with various issues, including anxiety, depression, and substance dependence. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping these clients break free from the cycle of addiction and improve their mental health, leading to more sustainable recovery paths.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
  • Proven proficiency in evidence-based therapies designed for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
  • A robust understanding of the interplay between mental health and substance use disorders, combined with exceptional interpersonal skills that facilitate collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of direct experience in mental health counseling is required, prior experience working within integrated care models and familiarity with community health clinics will be highly valued. A background in handling trauma-informed care and managing high-risk populations can further enhance your impact in this position.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 100,000, alongside a comprehensive benefits package. This includes full healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision), a retirement savings plan with employer matching, generous paid time off (PTO), and paid holidays. Additionally, our organization invests in your professional growth by providing numerous development opportunities, including specialized training in integrated care methodologies.
