Work Environment

This is a remote position designed for mental health professionals who thrive in a collaborative yet flexible setting. You will operate within an outpatient office structure while communicating effectively through telehealth platforms and virtual teamwork systems. Our office hours run from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional evening hours on a rotating basis to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to understand their mental health and substance use histories, identifying co-occurring disorders and treatment needs.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that leverage evidence-based interventions tailored to their unique challenges.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients develop essential coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, and relapse prevention techniques.

• Engage with our multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care coordination, maintaining strong communication with psychiatrists and other specialists.

• Implement regular substance use monitoring and apply motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients’ adherence to treatment.

• Educate clients and their families on the complexities of co-occurring disorders and the importance of consistent treatment compliance.

• Document treatment processes meticulously, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and legal requirements.

• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing training to advance skills in co-occurring disorder treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This diverse population may include adults facing various mental health conditions alongside substance use challenges. By addressing both aspects of their health, you will play a critical role in their pathway to recovery, utilizing customized interventions and support strategies.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Georgia.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment methods specifically for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A robust understanding of the interplay between mental health conditions and substance use disorders.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical mental health setting, particularly working with clients facing co-occurring disorders.

• Experience in outpatient care settings, specifically focused on providing integrated mental health and substance use services.

• Strong familiarity with remote counseling platforms and tools for telehealth delivery.

Compensation and Benefits
