This position offers a fully remote work environment, allowing for flexibility in your daily schedule. Our standard work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs. • Conduct in-depth mental health assessments, carefully evaluating the specific psychological and emotional needs of older adults to inform tailored treatment approaches.
• Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, thoughtfully considering each patient’s cognitive changes, physical health status, and social context.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities in both individual and family therapy sessions, effectively addressing various geriatric psychiatric conditions.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with geriatric psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to deliver integrated and comprehensive care.
• Offer timely crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute mental health crises, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources available to support their journey.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and clinic policies, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Actively contribute to team discussions, case reviews, and ongoing professional development to enhance service delivery and clinical knowledge.
• Stay updated on emerging research and advancements in geriatric psychiatry, ensuring best practices in clinical care.

Your primary focus will be on the geriatric population—an essential yet often underserved group in mental health care. You will work with elderly individuals facing a variety of challenges, including age-related cognitive decline, chronic health conditions, and significant life changes. Your empathetic approach and understanding of their unique experiences will be crucial in building trust and supporting effective therapeutic outcomes.

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and the appropriate interventions needed.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on developing rapport with older adults and their families.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technologies for documentation and patient management.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working directly with the elderly population in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Experience in individual and family therapy specific to geriatric patients, with a focus on evidence-based treatment approaches.

The salary for this role ranges from USD 75,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
