Executive Assistant to the President & CEO
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 annually, depending on experience
Reports to: President & CEO, with support provided to the Executive Team
This remote position is open only to residents located in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia.
Position overview
The Executive Assistant is responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the CEO's office while also supporting broader organizational priorities. This includes handling sensitive information, coordinating complex schedules, and ensuring that commitments are met with precision and follow-through. The role is both tactical and strategic, requiring attention to detail alongside an understanding of organizational goals.

Core responsibilities
Executive operations and support
- Manage the active calendar of appointments for the President & CEO, proactively resolving scheduling conflicts and prioritizing demands
- Prepare and organize confidential and time sensitive correspondence, talking points, briefings, and travel logistics
- Manage administrative deliverables, including timely expense reporting, credit card reconciliations, and meeting minutes
- Manage post-engagement tracking for donors and strategic partners, ensuring smooth CRM updates and follow-up stewardship actions on behalf of the CEO
Board support and liaison
- Serve as the primary administrative liaison to the Board of Directors, ensuring meeting timelines, travel planning, and board materials are prepared and securely distributed in advance
- Facilitate communication between the CEO's office, internal departments, and the senior management team
- Assist in organizing agendas and logistical delivery for special events, executive off-sites, senior management team meetings and all-staff operational meetings
Communications and strategic alignment
- Update the CEO's professional profile and process first drafts of written communications to external stakeholders
- Coordinate across Programs, Advancement, and Finance teams to support the CEO's national outreach and partnership cultivation
