Job Title: Information Security Engineer
Location: Primarily remote, with occasional on-site meetings at designated locations (travel expenses not covered).
Job Summary:
The Information Security Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of an organization's information resources. This position involves designing, implementing, administering, and maintaining security systems while supporting routine security operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Protect and manage security infrastructure to prevent unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.
  • Analyze large volumes of logs, network data (e.g., NetFlow, FPC), and attack artifacts to support incident investigations.
  • Implement and maintain security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001/27002, NIST, CIS-20, COBIT, and ITIL.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including HIPAA and PCI.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to assess and mitigate risks while maintaining security best practices.
  • Continuously monitor and enhance security measures to prevent vulnerabilities and potential threats.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • At least 3 years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Network security
    • System administration
    • Firewall management
    • Network protocols
    • Threat analysis and incident investigation
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills to articulate security findings and recommendations.

  • Prior experience working in a healthcare environment (3+ years preferred).
Education:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or a related field.
