Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging mindfulness-based interventions, including MBSR, to support clients in achieving stress reduction, improved relaxation, and enhanced emotional well-being.
  • Conduct initial assessments with clients to identify stressors, challenges, and desired goals, custom tailoring mindfulness practices to meet their unique needs.
  • Guide clients through mindfulness exercises, meditation techniques, and breathing strategies to promote emotional balance and self-awareness during therapy sessions.
  • Facilitate informative group workshops on mindfulness practices, stress management techniques, and strategies for building resilience.
  • Integrate mindfulness approaches into individualized therapy sessions, addressing specific mental health concerns while promoting overall personal growth.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow therapists and healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic treatment approach integrating mindfulness practices.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of client progress, mindfulness interventions, and treatment plans to ensure continuity of care.
  • Engage in regular personal mindfulness practice and professional development activities to enhance expertise in mindfulness-based approaches.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population seeking support for a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related issues. Our clients come from all walks of life, and your empathetic and tailored approach will be vital in helping them navigate their personal challenges while embracing mindfulness as a tool for healing.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Nevada.
  • Experience or training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is preferred, though not mandatory.
