Veterans Rethink Counselling, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our psychiatric outpatient office in Alhambra, California. This full-time, remote position is essential in providing therapeutic support to individuals recovering from substance use disorders. The therapy sessions will primarily take place remotely, allowing for flexible engagement with clients. • Conduct comprehensive assessments that evaluate the psychological, emotional, and social needs of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on client assessments and utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.
• Provide individual counseling sessions to empower clients, encouraging them to explore coping strategies, recovery options, and personal goals.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions that foster a sense of community and support among participants, focusing on shared experiences in addiction recovery.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare providers to coordinate care and follow up on client progress.
• Respond to crisis situations by offering immediate support and interventions to clients experiencing substance-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery resources, and relapse prevention techniques.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of treatment plans and client interactions to comply with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to discuss client progress and development strategies.
• Stay informed about the latest research in substance use disorder treatment and integrated care practices.

Our primary clientele includes veterans grappling with substance use disorders alongside co-occurring mental health challenges. • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• Profound understanding of substance use disorders, evidence-based therapy techniques, and recovery-oriented care models.
• Experience in delivering individualized and group therapy specifically tailored for addiction treatment is essential.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, focusing on substance use disorders.
• Familiarity with digital healthcare platforms for remote therapy sessions and client management.
• Previous experience working with military personnel or veterans is advantageous but not mandatory.

The role offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 – 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
