Fraym generates precise, localized data on demographics, attitudes, and behaviors, down to the town or village level. Organizations worldwide use our geospatial data to understand social and economic dynamics, design effective programs, and monitor investments across public health, economic development, climate resilience, security, and humanitarian response. Through survey research, geospatial analysis, and AI/ML, we are building scalable data infrastructure for mapping humanity.
The Role
Fraym is hiring an Analyst, Senior Analyst, or Analytics Lead to support a growing portfolio of work focused on the Middle East information environment.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical skills with regional expertise and curiosity about how narratives, media ecosystems, social dynamics, and political developments shape behavior and decision-making.
Successful candidates will help translate complex datasets and contextual information into clear, decision-relevant insights for mission-oriented customers operating in dynamic environments.
Depending on experience and seniority, the successful candidate may contribute in a variety of ways from individual analysis to leading analytical workstreams.
Preference will be given to applicants with regional expertise related to the Middle East, experience supporting government or mission-oriented organizations, foreign language capabilities, and experience with data analysis or geospatial tools.
Core Responsibilities
The role encompasses four core competency areas: Mission & Analysis, Technical Excellence, Leadership & Judgment, and Delivery & Execution. While responsibilities will vary by level, examples include:Translate complex datasets and contextual information into clear, decision-relevant insights.
  • Develop presentations, briefings, written assessments, dashboards, and other client-facing analytical products.
  • Conduct analytical research on topics related to the Middle East information environment, including social, political, economic, and media dynamics.
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative methods using tools such as R, Python, Stata, ArcGIS Pro, or geospatial platforms.
  • Integrate multiple forms of evidence, including survey data, geospatial data, open-source information, and digital ecosystem indicators.
  • Support the development of analytical methodologies, workflows, and AI-enabled analytical approaches.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data science, engineering, mission success, and business development.
  • More senior roles would include leading workstreams, mentoring staff, and taking a more leading role in customer engagement.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as political science, international relations, economics, public policy, statistics, regional studies, geography, journalism, data science, or related disciplines. Most successful candidates will have a Master's degree.
  • Demonstrated interest in or knowledge of the Middle East.
  • Experience conducting analytical research and synthesizing findings into clear written or visual outputs.
  • Familiarity with at least one analytical or statistical tool such as R, Python, Stata, ArcGIS/QGIS, or equivalent.
  • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
  • Persian/Farsi and/or Arabic language proficiency or other regionally relevant language capabilities.
  • Experience supporting government, international, humanitarian, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Experience with information environment analysis, media analysis, influence analysis, strategic communications, or public opinion research.
  • Experience working with large survey datasets, geospatial data, or open-source information.
  • Familiarity with machine learning or AI-assisted workflows.
  • U.S. security clearance is a plus.

Location
Fully remote, preferably US-based, with travel once or twice a year for retreats and conferences. Our office is in Arlington, Virginia office. Preference will be given to applicants who can be in the Arlington office one day a week.
Compensation & Benefits
Fraym offers competitive compensation commensurate with experience, comprehensive benefits, professional development opportunities, and a flexible work environment. Depending on experience, total compensation, including base and variable, for this role ranges from $90,000 to $115,000.
