Job description

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Lead Electrical Project Manager. The purpose of this position is to provide project management expertise in electrical, civil, structural and mechanical aspects of large turnkey electrical upgrade projects and lead these projects from start to finish. This position is to provide project management expertise and lead teams of designers, engineers, construction managers, suppliers, and contractors.
This position is fully remote for candidates residing within the Central U.S. or Pennsylvania region. The role requires up to 25% travel to customer sites and project locations.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $113,000 - $165,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
  • Lead electrical upgrade projects involving substations, plant control systems, excitation systems, governor controls, SCADA, and power distribution systems.
  • Read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Manage all phases of project execution, including scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, procurement, and risk management.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection, contracting, performance, and budget management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, confined space, and rigging practices.
  • Establish and maintain project quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes and accurate project documentation, including as-builts and punch lists.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, progress reports, action item logs, and contingency plans to drive successful project delivery.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate effectively with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support multiple concurrent projects while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Support proposal development, including estimating and scoping of turnkey project opportunities.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of project management and/or senior field service experience; OR Associate degree and 10+ years of experience; OR High School Diploma/GED and 15+ years of experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience managing electrical power distribution, switchgear, automation, controls, and/or power systems projects, including multi-disciplinary civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience managing project budgets, forecasts, proposals, schedules, and overall project financial performance.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience using Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar project scheduling software.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

  • Successfully complete and maintain compliance with Eaton's safety program and policy; This includes role-applicable portions of the EESS Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) program and any required annual re-certifications thereafter.

  • Experience with electrical power distribution, controls, and protection equipment, engineering, and installations
  • Experience in working with and managing all project disciplines (civil, mechanical and electrical)
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera Scheduling software
  • First aid and CPR Trained
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified
  • Professional Engineer Certification
  • Construction Management experience/certifications in addition to Project Management Experience
  • Eaton Bidmanager software experience and electrical product application experience
