About the Role

As a Lead Product Manager for the Uber Merchant team, you will  empower merchants to thrive on our platform. This includes ensuring high-quality merchant operations, using pricing and incentives to drive business growth, and optimizing the early lifecycle experience to set merchants up for long-term success. You'll shape the strategy and execution for one of Uber's most critical customer segments, working cross-functionally with engineering, design, operations, and data science to deliver impact at scale.

What the Candidate Will Do

  1. Lead products that improve merchant onboarding, operations, and retention
  2. Drive the product strategy for pricing, incentives, and merchant growth levers
  3. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure merchant-facing tools are scalable, reliable, and intuitive
  4. Set clear goals and KPIs, and use data to continuously refine the merchant experience
  5. Represent the voice of the merchant internally and influence long-term vision and roadmap for the Merchant pillar

Basic Qualifications

  1. 7+ years of product management experience with a track record of leading zero-to-one and scaled product development
  2. Deep understanding of marketplace dynamics, pricing, or incentive systems
  3. Strong data fluency: able to dig into data independently and use it to influence decision-making and strategy
  4. Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience working on merchant or seller tools in a multi-sided marketplace or B2B2C ecosystem
  2. Background in designing and optimizing onboarding or early lifecycle experiences
  3. Experience collaborating closely with Ops, Sales, and Support teams to scale product adoption
  4. Ability to drive cross-functional alignment and influence senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $216,000 per year - USD $240,000 per year.

You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
