Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior ERP Project Manager with expertise in Infor M3 implementations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a commercial mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to balance clients' best interests with the company's strategic objectives. Candidates must have a record of senior leadership in the consulting industry.
The Senior ERP Project Manager at Columbus M3 provides a high degree of leadership to the project team, serving to facilitate the activities that meet the project objectives both on time and on budget. In this opportunity you will be responsible for full PM lifecycle, building of project ERP plans, management of scope, scheduled, resources and budget. You will also oversee client relationship management, risk management, and reporting.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of Infor M3 projects or others as needed, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring effective communication and alignment among cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Manage enterprise-level budgets, proactively monitoring budget to actuals and reporting thereof.
  • Communicate project status to both the project team and c-suite executives to ensure a positive client experience.
  • Proactively identify and resolve customer issues, balancing client satisfaction with Columbus' best interests; managing escalations with diplomacy and professionalism, ensuring swift and effective resolution while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with sales and pre-sales teams to draft detailed and accurate SOWs, facilitate the estimation of project budgets, timelines, and resource needs with precision to ensure realistic client expectations and profitable outcomes.
  • Forecast and allocate project resources, ensuring optimal utilization while minimizing resource conflicts.
  • Monitor team performance and provide mentorship and guidance to ensure adherence to project deliverables and quality standards.
  • Ensure the project team follows Columbus Methodology and is producing deliverables to standards and on schedule; maintain project plan.
  • Review and understand the contractual terms and scope of assigned projects
  • Review key deliverables to assure scope and budget remain aligned
  • Ensure project setup, time, invoice if required, and expense entry are recorded properly; perform time and expense reviews.

Skill Requirements & Experience:
  • 7+ years of ERP project management experience in ERP environment.
  • 7+ years managing ERP enterprise implementations is required, experience with Infor M3 is strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of consulting experience (with leadership experience being a plus).
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, contracts, and profitability.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to manage client escalations effectively.
  • Experience must encompass the management of budget, risks, resources, scope, issues, changes, and quality.
  • Previous experience in writing statements of work, project estimation, and resource forecasting.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle client and employee escalations with empathy, diplomacy, and fairness.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or a related field. PMP certification is preferred.
  • Coaching and/or mentoring experience with excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience working with global project team and able to adapt to schedule to alternate time zones when needed.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
