Remote Menu Jobs in Virginia (NOW HIRING)

Remote Menu information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Menu Specialist, and why are they important?

To excel as a Remote Menu Specialist, you need strong attention to detail, experience with menu data entry, and knowledge of food service terminology, often supported by a background in hospitality or food services. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, menu management software, and spreadsheet tools is typically required. Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills are important for collaborating with restaurant partners and ensuring accurate menu listings. These abilities ensure menus are updated efficiently and accurately, directly impacting customer satisfaction and restaurant operations.

What is a Remote Menu?

A Remote Menu typically refers to a digital or online version of a restaurant or cafe menu that customers can access from their own devices, such as smartphones or computers. This allows patrons to view options, place orders, and sometimes even pay without needing a physical menu or direct interaction with staff. Remote Menus are commonly used in contactless dining, delivery services, or virtual events to enhance convenience and safety. They are also helpful for updating menu items in real-time and catering to a wider customer base. Many restaurants provide QR codes or web links for easy access to their Remote Menus.

What are some common challenges faced when working on a remote menu development team?

One common challenge in remote menu development is ensuring clear and consistent communication among team members, especially when collaborating across different time zones. Remote teams often rely on digital tools to brainstorm, update, and review menu items, which can sometimes lead to misunderstandings or delays if not managed carefully. Additionally, testing and refining menu concepts without in-person tastings or kitchen trials requires creative problem-solving and strong documentation skills. Successful remote menu teams establish regular check-ins, utilize collaborative platforms, and maintain detailed records to overcome these obstacles.

Job Description

Roanoke, VA (Southern Team Automall) & Christiansburg, VA (Southern Team Nissan New River Valley) · Full-Time

For 37 years, Southern Team has dominated the Roanoke Valley market — and we’re still growing. We’re hiring three exceptional Finance & Insurance Managers across our Roanoke Automall (Hyundai, Subaru, Volkswagen, Nissan, and pre-owned) and our Southern Team Nissan New River Valley store in Christiansburg. If you’re a top closer who runs a clean, compliant box and wants to be paid like a champion, we want to talk to you.

Why Southern Team

We pay the best, for the best. A $4,000/month draw plus up to 25% commission on your net F&I gross — stacked with bonuses for product penetration, preferred lenders, CSI, Google reviews, and production.

Real work-life balance. A four-day work week is rolling out soon — plus an extended-weekend program where every other month you take Friday through Tuesday off for a five-day break.

Cutting-edge technology. Our proprietary Saturn DMS powers digital deal jackets, e-contracting, and secure remote e-signing — making digital and remote contracting a breeze, with less paperwork friction and the freedom to close deals in-store or fully remote.

Volume that feeds your check. Multiple franchises and a powerhouse pre-owned operation mean a steady stream of deals.

Stability and reputation. Nearly four decades of market leadership and a name customers trust.

Room to grow. Ongoing training and a clear path to advancement.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver a consistent menu presentation to every customer and sell F&I products with integrity.

• Secure lender approvals, structure profitable deals, and keep funding fast and clean.

• Maintain 100% compliance and protect our customers and our CSI.

• Partner with a strong sales team to maximize both volume and gross.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven automotive F&I experience (top sales talent ready to move up will be considered).

• A track record of strong PVR and product penetration with clean compliance.

• Familiarity with RouteOne/Dealertrack and major DMS platforms (we’ll train you on our proprietary Saturn DMS).

• High integrity, sharp presentation skills, and a customer-first mindset.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background screening.
