• Conduct individual counseling sessions with clients via video chat, providing therapeutic interventions aimed at improving mental health and emotional well-being.
• Guide clients in discussing their emotions and experiences, fostering greater self-awareness and understanding of their personal relationships.
• Act as an advocate for your clients by helping them to set and achieve personal goals in their therapeutic journey.
• Evaluate the mental health of clients carefully, developing tailored treatment plans that utilize evidence-based solutions grounded in your professional clinical experience.
• Document sessions and treatment plans accurately while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with ethical standards.

The clients you will support at Ascend Medical Counseling Center are carefully screened to ensure they are stable adults with low acuity mental health needs. This focus allows you to concentrate on providing meaningful therapeutic interventions without the complexities associated with severe mental illness. We strive to match clients with counselors who specialize in particular areas to ensure effective and fulfilling therapeutic relationships.

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program is required.
• Hold active and unrestricted licenses in the state of Maryland, such as:
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
• Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C)
• Must be in good standing to practice independently without supervision. Note: Limited or provisional licenses are not accepted, and candidates with any disciplinary actions will not be considered.
• Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients.
• A sympathetic nature that enhances client trust and engagement in the therapeutic process.

Previous experience in telehealth or remote counseling is a plus but not mandatory. Familiarity with diverse treatment modalities and evidence-based practices is advantageous.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
