Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Biller/Prior Authorization Specialist to support our outpatient psychiatric practice. This dual role involves coordinating medication pre-authorizations, and supporting billing and administrative tasks. Ideal for someone experienced in behavioral health settings who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Medication Prior Authorizations:
 Coordinate prior authorization requests for psychiatric medications with insurance
companies.
 Follow up with insurance providers to track status and obtain approvals.
 Collaborate with prescribers and pharmacies to ensure timely medication access.
 Maintain accurate records of all authorization processes and outcomes.
Billing:

 Help resolve billing issues and enter charges to patient accounts as needed.
 Provide support with patient billing questions and statements.
Administrative Support:

 Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA regulations at all times.
 Support the billing department and clinicians with ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:

 Experience: Minimum 3 years in medical billing, prior authorizations, or related roles
(psychiatry or behavioral health preferred).
