MEDICAL BILLER

About ATC Healthcare Services of Las Vegas

ATC Healthcare Services of Las Vegas is a leading healthcare staffing company dedicated to placing highly qualified professionals in various healthcare settings. We partner with top facilities and clinics in the Las Vegas area to provide exceptional healthcare staffing solutions and ensure quality care for patients.

Position Summary

ATC Healthcare Services of Las Vegas is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. This is an in-person role focused on orthopedic medical billing, including tasks such as insurance verification, claim submission, and payment follow-up. The Medical Biller will work closely with both patients and healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely billing services.

Responsibilities

  • Generate accurate and timely medical billing for patient services, including verifying insurance coverage, submitting claims, and following up on outstanding balances.
  • Perform demographic verification and data entry.
  • Handle prior authorizations and insurance verification/benefits.
  • Manage patient phone calls and follow-up inquiries.
  • Collect payments and manage patient accounts.
  • Conduct follow-up on Accounts Receivable (A/R).
  • Post charges and payments.
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to resolve billing or insurance issues.
  • Stay informed on industry regulations related to medical billing and coding.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing, with preference given to candidates with orthopedic billing experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or certification in medical billing preferred.
  • Proficient in medical billing software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding compliance, and insurance processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Familiarity with state and federal healthcare regulations is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly wage of $23, paid weekly.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings.
  • This is a full-time, in-clinic position, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
