Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience building, and holistic healing.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support patient progress.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their trauma, cultivate coping strategies, and enhance emotional regulation.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and coordinated care for all patients.
• Deliver crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing de-escalation strategies and compassionate communication.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and effective coping mechanisms.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in case consultations and participate in regular team meetings, contributing to a culture of collaboration and shared learning.
• Stay informed of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy and mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a demonstrated focus on trauma-related disorders and treatment.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building strategies is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that foster a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic environment are required.
• A calm and composed demeanor is vital when managing high-stress situations or emergencies.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and various computer applications is necessary.
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team are essential.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience working in trauma-focused therapy is preferred.
• Experience using telehealth platforms to provide therapy services is advantageous.
• Knowledge of additional therapeutic interventions tailored to trauma healing is desirable.
