Key Responsibilities

Your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor will involve a variety of responsibilities designed to support clients effectively:

• Provide clinical counseling services, developing and implementing individualized, recovery-focused treatment plans.
• Continuously assess clients’ treatment needs, adapting approaches based on their progress and feedback.
• Assist in the formulation, monitoring, and execution of individual service plans to meet each client's specific challenges and goals.
• Guide clients in developing essential life skills, including coping mechanisms, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication techniques.
• Educate clients about available community resources while advocating for their connections to these services, ensuring comprehensive support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base consists of adults aged 18 and older who may struggle with mental health disorders that hinder their ability to sustain independence. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will empathically address their needs, utilizing a client-centered approach that acknowledges individual experiences and fosters recovery. Your expertise will play a critical role in helping clients navigate their unique life circumstances effectively.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates are required to have:

• A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A current license from the state board, such as:
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Licensed Psychologist (PsyD)
• The ability to practice independently without supervision and ensure adherence to ethical guidelines.
• No history of disciplinary action on your license.

Preferred Experience

• Experience providing direct clinical services in a mental health context.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and a supportive demeanor.
• Proficiency in using digital tools and software necessary for remote counseling and documentation.
