At Ervin Cable Construction, LLC, as a Plant Coordinator, you'll design and manage outside plant work orders and drawings under direct supervision. You'll also coordinate with the drafting and GIS teams. Additionally, you will plan and permit new cable routes.

What you'll do
  • Design and prepare outside plant work orders and associated drawings, including documentation and accurate record updates
  • Provide estimates for work order expenditures and prepare placement
  • Coordinate with drafting and GIS personnel in remote offices to produce construction drawings for the network
  • Plan, design, and obtain permits for new cable routes
  • Design aerial and underground telecommunications plant routes
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll need
  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or up to two years of telecommunications Outside Plant Engineering experience
  • Knowledge of telecommunications standards and regulations for engineering fiber optic outside plant facilities is preferred
  • Proficient with Excel and Word is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures
  • Routinely: operate vehicle, walk, use keyboard and mouse
  • Occasionally: climb stairs and stand
