This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured manufacturing and engineering review, process documentation, quality analysis, supply chain workflow assessment, mechanical documentation, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their engineering expertise to review realistic technical scenarios, evaluate process and documentation requirements, prepare structured written outputs, and support accurate, evidence-based engineering workflow tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Process, Manufacturing & Quality Review

  • Review engineering scenarios involving process flow documents, SOPs, yield analysis, quality metrics, root cause analysis, Lean/Six Sigma documentation, and process improvement workflows
  • Evaluate process and manufacturing outputs against source materials, defined criteria, quality requirements, and expected technical outcomes
  • Support structured review of FMEA materials, CAPA documentation, non-conformance reports, audit preparation materials, and inspection protocols
  • Identify missing steps, documentation gaps, quality issues, control points, and expected engineering review outcomes

Mechanical, CAD & Product Documentation

  • Review mechanical and industrial engineering scenarios involving CAD models, 2D drawings, GD&T, BOM maintenance, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA reviews, and ECO workflows
  • Evaluate engineering drawings and product documentation against specified dimensions, manufacturing requirements, revision controls, and documented standards
  • Support structured review of CAD-related workflows, design packages, BOM structures, ECO documentation, and technical drawings
  • Prepare clear written explanations for engineering decisions based on source materials and verifiable technical criteria

Supply Chain, Planning & Execution Support

  • Review supply chain scenarios involving demand forecasting, inventory analysis, supplier scorecards, S&OP materials, logistics exceptions, and planning workflows
  • Evaluate planning and execution materials against historical data, service requirements, supplier metrics, operational constraints, and documented targets
  • Support structured review of supply chain artifacts, planning workbooks, logistics documentation, supplier performance materials, and S&OP outputs
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical design, supply chain planning, quality engineering, product development, or related technical roles
  • Working fluency in at least two areas such as CAD, GD&T, manufacturing processes, Lean/Six Sigma, S&OP, quality systems, FMEA, CAPA, or inspection protocols
