Position Purpose:
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of machines in the rental fleet, including earth-moving, aerial, landscaping, and material handling equipment. Work ranges in scope from general repairs and maintenance, up to more complex repairs on hydraulic and electrical systems and diesel engines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • 10% Administrative Work - Documents all work performed on tablet technology, including completion of work orders to capture parts usage and labor, performing parts inventory counts, etc.
  • 40% Perform Advance Troubleshooting and Repairs - Performs advanced electrical system troubleshooting and repairs; Performs advanced hydraulic system troubleshooting and repairs; Performs diesel engine troubleshooting and repairs; Performs troubleshooting and repairs on small engines, including fuel systems, oil and air filtration systems, ignition systems, etc.; Performs maintenance and repairs on trailers; Makes welding repairs to equipment and trailers
  • 30% Perform Inspections and Audits - Performs aerial lift inspections according to required checklist; Documents all work performed on tablet technology, including completion of work orders to capture parts usage and labor, performing parts inventory counts, etc.; Checks GPS units on equipment and ensures they are activated and properly checking in, and troubleshoots with IT team as needed
  • 20% Safety - Follows shop safety protocol, including proper storage of supplies and fuel, proper disposal of waste oils and fluids, and proper lifting and moving of materials and equipment; Safely operates forklift to load, unload, and move equipment and materials in the shop and yard

Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Working Conditions:
  • Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
