We are recruiting for a Senior Risk Management/Loss Control Consultant to join our team. This is a field-based position that will sit remotely in the Dallas / Ft. Worth, TX area.
Position Summary:
Conducts insurance risk management surveys on a range of moderate to complex risks, aiming to enhance policyholder risk profiles by identifying and mitigating safety hazards. Actively contributes to the development and support of technical expertise. Drives the promotion, marketing, and advancement of Company initiatives, focusing on profitable growth. Demonstrates One Amerisure behaviors with dedication, fostering strong relationships with assigned Partners for Successยฎ (PFS) Agencies and their clients.
Responsibilities:
  • Execute risk management consultations at policyholders' premises and develop risk management programs recommendations based on observations.
  • Leverages technology to support virtual engagement within a hybrid work environment.
  • Initiates, provides, and shares resources with policyholders and agency customers on risk management topics and trends.
  • Provide quantitative/qualitative analysis with conclusions to drive customer service objectives and activities and develop a plan to improve risk exposures across the book.
  • Manage workload assignments to attain agency customer engagement activities to meet organizational objectives.
  • Leverages technology and innovation to support virtual engagement within a hybrid work environment.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and claims in new business acquisition and account retention.
  • Conduct training sessions for the policyholder and agency customers. As required, participate in conference presentations
  • Promote markets and otherwise advance the company initiatives through relationships with their assigned agency and their clients. Serve as an advisor on risk management matters.
  • Participates in assigned workgroups supporting profitability and service delivery
  • Elevates any trends or issues identified.
  • Engage with vendors to support our service delivery and risk improvement strategies.
  • Mentor and train other risk management consultants and support new employee onboarding activities under leadership direction.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in risk management or a related field with advanced certification/designation (CSP, ARM, CRM, CIC, CPCU) preferred.
  • 5 or more years of experience in safety, risk management or related industry.
  • High acumen with business computer applications including MS Office products and other industry platforms. This includes virtual meeting and conferencing applications.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers. Engages as needed with corporate underwriting to support business activities.
  • Well-developed conflict resolution skills - with the ability to engage other departments.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Ability to work independently but collaboratively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers and communicate complex technical subjects both verbally and written format.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, an acceptable driving record
  • The ability to travel up to 2 overnights a month.
