Are you a detail-oriented, tech-savvy professional with a passion for digital marketing and community impact?

At the Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA), we are a 100% volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to supporting service members, veterans, and military spouses in advancing their careers in project management.

As an Online Event Marketing Specialist, you will play a key role in promoting our educational programs and ensuring a seamless event experience from setup to registration. Your work will directly increase visibility and engagement across our community.

Position Details:

  • Position Type: Volunteer
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: ~3 Hours/Week
  • Reports To: Marketing Manager
  • Alternative Reporting: Director of Strategic Operations & Initiatives / Chief Experience Officer (CXO)

What Youโ€™ll Do (Impact: ~3 Hours/Week):

You will focus on event setup, promotion, and consistency across platforms to ensure a smooth and professional user experience.

Event Creation & Management

  • Set up and manage all virtual learning events on Eventbrite
  • Ensure event descriptions are clear, compelling, and accurate
  • Maintain fully functional registration links and correct scheduling

LinkedIn Event Promotion

  • Create LinkedIn Events for each session
  • Optimize listings to increase visibility within the professional and military-connected community

Brand Consistency

  • Apply approved logos, messaging, and brand standards across all event listings
  • Ensure a consistent and professional presentation across platforms

Cross-Channel Coordination

  • Collaborate with website and social media team members to align event details
  • Ensure consistency across Eventbrite, LinkedIn, and other platforms

Community Engagement

  • Monitor event pages for attendee questions
  • Provide timely responses or escalate when needed

Performance Tracking

  • Track registration numbers and attendance trends
  • Provide brief monthly updates on event reach and engagement
