Compensation:

  • 3-5 years of experience: $70,000-$75,000 annually
  • 8-10+ years of experience: Up to $80,000 annually

Job Description:

The Litigation Legal Assistant will provide high-level administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys. This role requires someone who can confidently manage competing priorities, maintain organized case files, coordinate attorney workflow, and produce polished legal documents while ensuring deadlines are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, revise, format, and proofread legal correspondence, pleadings, agreements, and other legal documentation.
  • Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, appointments, and deadlines while helping manage daily workflow.
  • Monitor litigation deadlines and maintain docketing calendars to ensure timely filings and case activity.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files using document management systems.
  • Enter, review, and reconcile attorney time entries and assist with monthly billing support.
  • Prepare document binders, hearing materials, and other case-related files for meetings, hearings, and litigation events.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and internal departments to facilitate case progress.
  • Process expense reports and provide general administrative support for assigned attorneys.
  • Assist with document comparison, filing organization, and records management.
  • Collaborate with legal assistants and office staff to provide coverage and support during high-volume periods.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation legal assistant experience supporting attorneys in a law firm environment.
  • Experience supporting multiple attorneys while managing competing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures, court deadlines, and docket management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with document management software such as iManage or similar platforms is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with legal billing software and time entry systems is a plus.
  • Excellent proofreading, grammar, and document formatting skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with attorneys and colleagues.
  • Professional demeanor with a client-service mindset and the ability to perform well in a deadline-driven environment.

Additional Details:

  • Direct Hire opportunity.
  • Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
  • Hybrid schedule available after approximately 90 days of successful training and performance, with up to two remote workdays per week.
