Job Summary: Systems Administrator IV (Windows Server Engineer) - Remote (Washington, DC Preferred)
[About the Role]
Join our team as an expert Systems Administrator IV specializing in Windows Server Engineering. This fully remote position (DC preferred but not required) is focused on supporting the Department of Justice (DOJ) through advanced system installation, configuration, administration, and optimization. You'll play a pivotal role in driving digital modernization initiatives for a leading federal IT contractor, making a measurable impact on mission-critical systems.
[Responsibilities]
- Lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of complex Windows server environments (physical and virtual).
- Implement and manage system infrastructure, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.
- Proactively monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance; troubleshoot and resolve anomalies and issues.
- Design and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Apply critical patches and software updates, maintaining compliance and security standards.
- Collaborate across technical teams and interface with client stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.
- Oversee large or cross-functional projects, driving innovation and best practices in system administration.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, procedures, and configurations.

- 8-12 years' relevant experience with BS degree, or 6-10 years with Masters, in a technical field.
- Advanced expertise in Windows Server administration in enterprise environments.
- Proficiency with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), system backups, and storage management.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues.

- Active DOJ Public Trust clearance (required prior to start).
