Job description

The Video Member Service Representative will perform a wide range of duties to serve members via a remote video platform. Interactions with members could be through a kiosk in a branch, a mobile application, or through a home computer. Acting as a one stop information source, the Video Member Service Representative’s primary focus is to take, process, and close all loan applications independently and accurately. They are also responsible for opening new accounts, cross selling, and promoting Pelican products and services. The Video Member Service Representative must keep accurate records of all interactions as outlined in policies/procedures.

A Day in the Life of a Video Member Service Representative INCLUDES:

  • Assist members by evaluating their needs and recommending loan options. Take and enter loan applications while working via video channels with a member. Close and disburse all consumer loan types.
  • Responsible for opening business accounts and assisting members with their business account needs.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of Pelican CU's products and services to promote or cross-sell to members based on their financial needs.
  • Consistently meet any required sales goals as established by management.
  • Actively work individual queue to ensure follow-up with members is completed in a timely manner.

Video Member Service Representative Skills and qualifications include:

  • 2 years of experience to include lending, teller, and/or call center experience with a financial institution
    • Prior experience in a video/remote environment within a financial institution is a plus
  • Must have a strong background in a sales environment
  • Must be eligible to be licensed to sell all necessary insurance products
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
