Job description

Who we are:

Tinuiti is the largest independent full-funnel marketing agency in the U.S. across the media that matters most, with $4 billion in digital media under management and more than 1,200 employees. Built for marketers who demand growth and accountability, Tinuiti unites media and measurement under one roof to eliminate waste-the biggest growth killer of all-and scale what works. Its proprietary technology, Bliss Point by Tinuiti, reveals the truth around growth and waste, and how to capitalize on it. With expert teams across Commerce, Search, Social, TV & Audio, and more, Tinuiti delivers measurable results with brutal simplicity: Love Growth. Hate Waste.

We support 100% remote work for this role!

We'd love to hear from you if:

Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you qualify, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch.

As the Insights Director you will be responsible for:

Strategic Analytics & Enterprise Measurement

  • Lead the development of holistic, enterprise-level measurement frameworks that move beyond channel-specific metrics to capture total business impact.

  • Design and oversee multi-year learning agendas and sophisticated testing roadmaps (incrementality, geo-testing, etc.) that align with long-term C-suite objectives.

  • Expertly navigate the transition to modern measurement (MMM, unified measurement, clean rooms) and provide guidance on privacy-safe data strategies.

  • CPG Vertical Focus: Leverage deep knowledge of CPG dynamics including retail media networks, household penetration, and market share data to contextualize performance against industry benchmarks.

Executive Client Partnership

  • Build and maintain deep-seated relationships with senior client stakeholders (VP and C-level). You are the first person they call for a POV on industry shifts or business challenges.

  • Identify opportunities where advanced analytics can solve business problems, effectively scoping and selling in high-value projects that drive incremental agency revenue.

  • Act as the guardian of the analytical relationship, proactively identifying potential friction points and ensuring our insights are indispensable to the client's success.

Internal Stakeholder Leadership

  • Serve as the strategic connection between Planning, Investment, and Strategy teams, ensuring that data-driven insights are woven into the fabric of every media plan.

  • While not necessarily a direct people manager of engineers, you will provide "dotted-line" mentorship to junior analysts, elevating their ability to tell stories with data and think more strategically.

  • Partner with BI and Data Engineering leads to ensure the data infrastructure supports the strategic vision without needing to manage the underlying code or ETL processes yourself.

Thought Leadership & Communication

  • Distill highly complex statistical concepts into compelling narratives for non-technical audiences. You don't just present data; you present a business case.

  • Develop and publish internal and external POVs on emerging trends (e.g., the demise of third-party cookies, AI in marketing, or the evolution of retail media).

People Management

  • You will have several direct reports at the Manager or Sr. Analyst level and will be responsible for their career development. This includes defining and tracking progress against long term goals, delegating responsibilities, and proving valuable feedback.

Professional Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, or management consulting, with at least 4 years in a high-level client-facing leadership role.

  • Strategy Over Execution: Proven track record of designing measurement frameworks for global brands, with a focus on long-term brand health and enterprise-level ROI.

  • Enterprise Measurement Literacy: Deep familiarity with the application and interpretation of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and Incrementality testing. You understand the limitations and strengths of these tools better than the tools themselves.

  • Vertical Expertise: Prior experience in the CPG/Retail sector is highly preferred, including familiarity with IRI/Nielsen data and the nuances of the path-to-purchase in a fragmented retail landscape.

  • Communication: Exceptional presentation skills; ability to command a room and influence senior decision-makers through clarity, confidence, and commercial acumen.

  • Technical Literacy (Strategic Level): While you are not expected to build dashboards or write SQL daily, you must have the technical fluency to collaborate with engineers and data scientists.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Business) or equivalent experience; MBA or Master's in a related field is a plus.

The hiring salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000. We also offer an incentive pay program (RevShare) comprising a monthly variable revenue payment opportunity and a discretionary annual performance bonus.

Hiring salaries are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, parity with other team members, and alignment with market data. We will provide more information on our benefits, incentive pay, and equity upon request. Disclosure as required by the Colorado Equal Pay for > Equal Work Act, C.R.S. 8-5-101 et seq.
